STUDENT INTEREST GROUPS

Student Council

JECHS provides leadership opportunities via student council and class officers.  The student body elects each officer.  Student Council plans most of the social and spirit activities for the student body.  They attend the ACSI Student Leadership Conference each year.  Assigned faculty advisors oversee meetings and activities.

Bible Studies

The girls’ and boys’ groups each meet once a week in student-led Bible Studies.

California Scholarship Federation

CSF honors students with outstanding academics.  To qualify, a student must have a 3.4 or better GPA for the semester.  Students must re-apply after each semester.  Those students, who have been members of CSF for 4 or more semesters, will be awarded CSF Life Membership and receive special recognition at Graduation.

IMPACT Club (Intense Missionaries Passionate About Christ Today)

The mission of IMPACT Club is the spread the Gospel throughout our community.  They participate in many evangelistic events.

Interact Club

Interact Club is a Rotary-sponsored service club.  Some activities are working at:  Mary Graham Hall, Women’s Shelter, Lodi House, Special Olympics, Gospel Rescue Mission, Retirement Homes, Cancer Walks.

Robotics Club

Students interested in building a robot to compete in the FIRST International Robotics Competition meet at lunch and after school. 

Truth Productions, Inc.

This is an umbrella organization for the collaboration of drama, music, art, the Ministry Team and Silent Sounds.  They put on our spring drama, as well as participate in the Christmas Program.

Silent Sounds – This is a unique club for those interested in signing ASL to music.

Ministry Team – This is a select group of students who minister to the local junior high schools by putting on a Chapel.  They use skits, sign language, and songs to present the Word of God.

Worship Team – This is a select group of students who minister through music, vocal and instrumental, to the student body at the weekly Chapels.
