How to Register at Jim Elliot Christian High School

The Jim Elliot Christian High School Board spent time, energy and gave prayerful consideration to developing the student admissions policy for the school.  It is the desire of the school to provide an atmosphere that will help Christian young people to grow strong in their faith.  This will be accomplished through Christian teachers who desire not only to teach, but to disciple students. It is the school's desire to provide a strong Christian based curriculum, an exciting and challenging Bible program, and learning opportunities where students experience positive peer influence of other Christian teenagers.

The students at Jim Elliot Christian High School will express a clear desire to attend the school and abide by its policies and procedures.  They will be actively seeking a relationship with Jesus Christ and be attending church on a regular basis.  Students will also be evaluated as to their past academic and behavioral performance and future potential.

Students will not be admitted to the school who have evidence of academic or discipline problems, who are not Christians and attending church regularly, and who do not want to be enrolled in the school.

PRE-APPLICATION PROCEDURE

A pre-application procedure has been established for students currently enrolled in Grades 6-8.   Parents must fill out a simple pre-application form and return it to the office.

JECHS will mail out pertinent information in the spring prior to the year of the student's possible entrance.   The parents have a 15-day period, beginning March 1, to obtain an application, return it, and schedule an interview.  PRE-APPLICATION DOES NOT IMPLY ACCEPTANCE. Students currently enrolled at Jim Elliot Christian High School may register for the next school year during the month of March.  Qualified siblings of current Jim Elliot Christian High School students, regardless of grade level, may register with the same status as returning students during the month of March, even though they are new students.  If registration does not occur during this time, this status becomes void and they will be placed on the first available spot on the waiting list.

Open enrollment for the next school year begins on March 15.
